'Back the Blue:' 17-year-old girl serenades Fort Bend County Sheriff

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A 17-year-old girl wrote a song from scratch called “Back the Blue” and serenaded a Fort Bend County Sheriff’s officer on Friday.

Sheriff Troy E. Nehls posted the video of Emilia Valadez singing to him to show support of law enforcement. Valadez told them she thanks all low enforcement for their dedication and sacrifice.

“I am so touched that Emilia not only wrote a song about back the blue, but she came to my office to share with me,” Nehls posted on his Facebook page.
