HOUSTON – A man is dead after he was shot once in northeast Houston Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 2:15 a.m. on Maxey Road near Fleming Drive, Houston police said.
A passerby called police when they saw the victim's car in a ditch along Maxey Road and reported hearing gunshots a short time earlier.
The victim was taken to Ben Taub hospital where he was in critical condition, but later died there, police said.
Police believe the victim may have lived at a nearby apartment complex.
