HARRIS COUNTY –
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a woman who was hit and killed by a vehicle in north Harris County Saturday morning, officials said.
According to deputies, a woman was walking on Veterans Memorial Boulevard whenshe was hit by a vehicle at Moorewood Road.

Deputies said the section of the road where it happened was unlit.
According to investigators, the driver of the car stopped and was cooperative with investigators.
The driver of the vehicle did not appear to be intoxicated, deputies said.
The victim has not been identified.
