Three Astros are in the American League starting lineup and each is in a new spot. Jose Altuve will hit first while George Springer, the Astros regular leadoff man, will hit fourth, thanks to his 26 home runs so far this season for an Astros team that is sitting 60-29 through their first 89 games.

“That’s cool and special to have us three up there. (It) will be fun,” George Springer said.

Altuve is also fired up to be in Miami. He’s making his 5th All-Star Game appearance.

“It’s crazy and I like it that we will be in the middle trying to help the American League team to win,” said Altuve.

Carlos Correa will follow Springer, hitting fifth in the lineup. Here in South Florida, for one night it’s all good. Baseball’s best will share a clubhouse and a baseball field, and all are here to put on a show for their fans.

“It’s an amazing experience to be here,” Correa said. “For some of us, it’s our first All-Star experience here in Miami. It will be something we never forget.”
