High risk operations unit called after man fires weapon, deputies say

HOUSTON – A man is in custody after a standoff with Harris County deputies in Northwest Harris County Sunday morning.

According to investigators, the incident began at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday at a home at the intersection of Regina Road and Addicks Statsuma Road.

Deputies said they received a call about a disturbance and they settled the matter before leaving.

At 8:20 p.m., deputies received a weapons disturbance call from the same address.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a 25-year-old man had barricaded himself inside of the home, according to investigators.

Deputies said they called in the high risk operations unit after the man fired a weapon at least two times.
