Police search for southwest Houston man's killer, officials say

Police are searching for the person responsible for killing a man in January using what they believe was a crowbar in southwest Houston.

Officials said they were called around 3:45 p.m. on Jan. 12 to 7245 Hillcroft, where Rosalio Espino Sandoval, 67, was assaulted.

Police said that by the time they arrived, Sandoval had already been taken to Memorial Hermann in critical condition.

Sandoval was expected to survive, but died from his injuries, which autopsy results found were the result of blunt force trauma to his head, police said.

Officials said a crowbar was discovered under a nearby dumpster.

There is no information about who might be responsible for Sandoval's death.
