Ex-NFL player, another man found shot to death in basement of Detroit home

DETROIT – A former Buffalo Bills player and another man were found shot to death Tuesday in the basement of a Detroit home, police said.

One of the men is 28-year-old Robert Eddins, who played linebacker for the Bills in 2011.

The other man has been identified as Ricky McFarlin, 32.

Police said a man came home around 6 p.m. Tuesday and found the two men dead in the basement. Both had suffered multiple gunshots wounds.

Police said  their killer tried to cover up the crime by turning on the gas in the home to try to spark an explosion.

Police are investigating the shooting.
