Police seek clues in shooting death of mother of 2-year-old

HOUSTON – A family asked for the public's help in finding the person who shot and killed a mother of a 2-year-old after an argument in September.

"He took my wife away; not just my wife, but three kids. Never see them again. This is something I have to deal with. She was a mother," her husband, Dennis Bean, said.

Investigators said LeAndrea Foster, her husband and 2-year-old daughter, were ordering food at a BBQ stand outside of a night club at I-45 and West Little York on Sept. 18.

The family got into an argument with another woman, who was accompanied by a man, deputies said.

"I politely asked the young lady get behind me if you wanna eat. I’m hungry just like you hungry," said Bean.

Investigators said the man and woman, possibly brother and sister, left in a small silver SUV. When the family left, deputies said the SUV followed them, boxed them in a parking lot and fired several shots.

"The only description we have right now is a small, silver SUV that we believe possibly a Hyundai or Kia," said Jason Brown, with Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit.

Foster was shot twice and died four days later.

Her husband and 2-year-old daughter were not injured.

"Just turn yourself in. That's the best thing. God is watching and it's not fair. It's not fair to nobody. These kids will never see their mama no more," said Bean.

Anyone with information was urged to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 or visit crime-stoppers.org.
