AUSTIN – The Austin Police Department said one woman is dead and three others are in the hospital after two shootings in the entertainment district in downtown Austin on Sunday. Police have identified a person of interest in the first shooting.

Austin police say Endicott McCray, 24, may be armed. According to KXAN, McCray is described as 5"9", 130 pounds, with long corn rows and a goatee.

Ricky Moultrie told KXAN that his sister, Teqnika Moultrie, was the woman who was shot and killed.

Two women and a man were taken to the hospital.

All of the people hospitalized are in serious, but not life-threatening, condition.

Another person was hurt but they refused to be taken to the hospital.

Austin police Chief of Staff Brian Manley said they received calls around 2:15 a.m. about two shooting incidents. He said police initially believed the incidents were related because they were close in proximity.

The second shooting turned out to be an isolated incident where no one was hurt.

Police are interviewing witnesses and they are still looking for the shooter.
