Man threatens teen on app, forces her to perform sex act, deputies say

Kaalum Scott, 18, arrested on sexual battery charges

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A young girl was threatened for sex on the messaging app Kik by a man who lives in her neighborhood.

Police reports say the 13-year-old girl was first asked for sex weeks ago while hanging out in her Champion's Gate neighborhood.

A group of guys allegedly made graphic comments. One of the guys was Kaalum Scott, 18. When the girl declined, police said Scott kept pursuing her on the messaging app Kik. He sent texts asking for oral sex.

Scott also warned the girl to block him so that her parents wouldn't see the messages and send him to jail. But the teen said Scott's demands for sex continued.

When the young girl kept declining, she told police Scott became violent, threatening to shoot her family. His profile picture showed a gun.

The 13-year-old gave in on June 27 and went to Scott's home, where he allegedly forced her to perform sex acts.

Then, on Monday the victim told police, and Scott denied everything. Halfway through the investigators' interview, however, Scott's phone beeped. The beep was a friend on Kik with a telling message that said, "See, that's why I told you not to send her any pictures or anything. Just deny everything."

Investigators said Scott then confessed to the entire assault. He was booked into Osceola County Jail on sexual battery charges.
