Former Astros employee offers up to $1,000 reward for stolen ring

HOUSTON – A former Astros employee is searching for his stolen Houston Astros National League Championship team ring after robbers took a safe out of the trunk of his car during a recent move.

Larry Stokes, a former vice president of human resources for the Astros, said while he was moving on April 21, the safe was stolen. He said police quickly recovered his birth certificate and passport, but not the ring.

Stokes has filed a police report and decided to be proactive about finding his ring by posting on a website designed to help people list, share and recover stolen property.

The ring has the name "STOKES" engraved on one side of it.

He is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information about the ring.
