HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was shot in the stomach in northwest Harris County after a bizarre rant, witnesses said.
According to residents at the Tivoli at Vintage Park Apartments in the 10100 block of Charterwood Drive, the man was knocking on doors, shouting and cursing. At some point, a resident of the complex came out of an apartment, there was a disturbance between them and the man was shot in his stomach, according to a witness. He was taken to the hospital by helicopter and is expected to live.
One man was handcuffed and placed inside a patrol car. It is unclear if he is being considered a suspect or if he is being arrested.
The victim does not live at the complex, Harris County Precinct 4 constables said. They are investigating why the man was there and what led to the shooting.
