SACRAMENTO – A California driver considers herself lucky after a tree fell on her car Monday evening.
Things could have ended differently if it weren't for the actions of a quick-thinking state lawmaker.
"I was walking down J Street, and walking past this big Sycamore tree and I hear a crack while I (was) walking by it," State Sen. Andy Vidak, R-Hanford said in a phone interview.
Vidak said he knew the tree was coming down so he tried to direct cars away from it.
