'Home Alone' released 25 years ago

HOUSTON – The blockbuster comedy that made Macaulay Culkin an overnight superstar was released 25 years ago Monday.

Kevin McCallister played by Culkin, was accidentally left home alone by his family during the holidays. He had to fend for himself with no grown ups around and later found himself having to protect his home from a pair of burglars, also known as the "Wet Bandits," played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern.
