'Operation Red November' nets several prostitution arrests

BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas – Multiple women and one man were arrested in Brazoria County after complaints of prostitution.

The Brazoria County Narcotics Task Force received complaints over several months about prostitution in and around the Freeport, Clute, Richwood, Lake Jackson and Pearland areas.

As a result of the complaints, the task force executed an investigation that it called "Operation Red November" about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Officials arrested several women and a man, in several locations, for prostitution.

Those arrested were:
•    Sarah Barber, 25
•    Haley McDaniels, 20
•    Candie Deshotel 29,
•    Martha Corona, 25
•    Deanne Lyt, 28
•    Gabriel Munoz Alvarez, also known as Valeri, 38
•    Darya Sands, 19
•    Katerina Gutierrez, 24
•    Donna McGhee, 20

According to investigators, Corona was listed as one of Brazoria County Crime Stoppers' wanted fugitives for driving while intoxicated.
Alvarez was also arrested for possession of marijuana.

The women were taken to the Brazoria County Jail. They were given $1,500 bonds on the prostitution charges.

Martha Corona received a no bond for the second charge of DWI. Alvarez was given a $2,000 bond.
