Crime Stoppers looking for driver who ran into man, left the scene

HOUSTON – Crime Stoppers is offering of a reward of up to $5,000 to identify and arrest two women who left the scene of a hit-and-run on July 16.

Police said a man and woman were hit by an SUV while they were walking southbound at 15800 Ella Blvd. about 1:25 a.m. Authorities said the woman died and the man was knocked into the northbound lane of traffic, where he was hit by a white Chevy Malibu.

According to police, the man driving the SUV stopped at the scene, but the woman driving the Malibu stopped briefly and then left the scene.

The man who was hit was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver and the passenger in the Chevy are described as black women in their mid-20s. They are wanted for failing to stop and render aid.
