3 suspects sought in bank robbery in Katy area

KATY, Texas – There suspects are on the loose after a bank robbery in the Katy area.

It happened shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday at a Chase Bank on South Fry Road and the Grand Parkway. Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies say three armed men entered the bank and took money from the tellers.

At least one shot was fired during the robbery, according to deputies. On injuries were reported.

Deputies say the trio fled in a getaway van, which they ditched in a parking lot across the street.

Investigators believe the robbers switched cars shortly after the robbery. Authorities are still searching the area.

The first suspect carried a gun. He is about 5 foot 10 and wore a white hat with black splotches on it, a black t-shirt with yellow or gold artwork on the front and multi-colored shorts. He wore white sneakers and had a white rag or bandana covering his face.

The second suspect is taller and had a gray baseball hat with an orange emblem on it. He also had a white rag or bandana tied around his face. He wore a long-sleeve shirt or hoodie, gray pants and white sneakers.

The third suspect had a smaller frame and wore black-top sneakers. He, too, had a white rag or bandana tied around his face and he was wearing a dark hoodie with a lime green liner inside.

Anyone who has information which leads to the apprehension and filing of charges on the suspects involved could earn a reward of up to $5,000.
