According to court documents, Hernandez-Avila tried to run Leticia Reyes-Velasquez down with her car on April 27 in a parking lot on West NASA Parkway in Webster.

Court documents state Reyes-Velasquez told officers that Hernandez-Avila was dating her husband. Reyes-Velasquez said she was getting back together with her husband and that made Hernandez-Avila angry.

Reyes-Velasquez told officers she jumped out of the way when the car was speeding towards her and fell into the grassy median.

Officers also interviewed the husband, Luis Perez. According to court documents, he told investigators that he and Hernandez-Avila argued before the incident on April 27.

Perez says Hernandez-Avila followed him to the scene of the incident because she knew he was going to meet his wife.

Court documents show Hernandez-Avila is accused of going to Reyes-Velasquez's home the following day and keying her car.

Hernandez-Avila was arrested and is being held in the Harris County jail on $30,000 bond.
