Three men held a family of seven at gunpoint, ransacked their home and stole cash.

HOUSTON – Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables are searching for three men who held a family of seven at gunpoint, ransacked their home and stole cash.

"Maybe they saw the car but they didn't want the car," said Sonny Peres, who was approached by the men in the garage of his home.

Peres says he was working on his car with his mechanic when three masked men approached him with guns and demanded cash.

"There were three black males; two of them was tall, one was shorter, they were all skinny They had t-shirts or bandanas covering their face," said Peres.

They followed Peres inside the home and his five kids and wife were stunned.

He says he told his wife, "Give these guys whatever they want, and I told them to take the gun from my head and my son's head. My wife tells them but I have babies and they say I don't care about them and flashes his gun in front of them. Puts them in this room right here. I go in the room get a out a shoe box pullout some jewelry cash and say here take this whatever just please let us go."

He says they took the money and jewelry and left.

"I heard somebody on the radio saying it's time to bail, it's time to bail. So I'm assuming there was a getaway car," said Peres.

Peres says he's worried for his family's safety and plans to move out because the men said they'd be back.

"It's sad though they had a gun to my kid's head and they are traumatized by it," said Peres.
