6 injured in 2-vehicle wreck

Both drivers now face charges

HOUSTON – Six people were injured, two of them seriously, in a two-vehicle collision in northwest Harris County.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the wreck happened around 2:30 a.m. Friday on F.M. 529 near Ridgeberry Drive.

Deputies said a pickup truck going east on F.M. 529 tried to turn onto Ridgeberry and pulled in front of car, which slammed into the side of the pickup truck.

A helicopter transported a woman and a man to a hospital. Both were in serious but stable condition.  The four other occupants of both vehicles were taken to hospitals in stable condition.

Deputies said the driver of the pickup truck was intoxicated at the time of the collision and faces aggravated assault charges.  Investigators said the driver of the car was also believed to be intoxicated. She faces driving while intoxicate charges, investigators said.

The names of the people involved in the wreck have not been released.
