HOUSTON – Police arrested a man they said lead them on a chase on Beltway 8 Saturday night.
It started near Aldine Bender and Imperial Valley around 11:15 p.m.

Police said they were trying to pull the driver over for a traffic violation, but he sped away.
The driver lost control and then slammed into a concrete construction barricade near the West Hardy Tollway, investigators said.
The driver was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and evading arrest.
