PEARLAND, Texas – A Friendswood teen is accused of leading police on a chase through several cities early Saturday morning.

Alexandria Falkenburg, 17, is charged with evading arrest and DUI.

Pearland police say around 2 a.m. they tried to pull Falkenburg over in the 2000 block of Pearland Parkway. Officers say she was driving a gray Nissan Xterra without her headlights on.

According to officers, Falkenburg did not pull over, but instead hopped on the Gulf Freeway leading police on a chase that would span at least 41 miles at an average of 65 miles per hour. The chase started on Pearland Parkway, eventually making its way through the cities of Houston, Pasadena, Webster, League City and Galveston.

In Galveston, officers deployed spike strips to flatten her tires. Falkenburg was arrested.
