Cellphone store ripped off for 20th time

Thieves hit Premier Wireless in Stafford

HOUSTON – A Stafford cellphone store was burglarized early Friday and the owner said her store has been hit 20 times.

Thieves broke the front door window to get inside Premier Wireless, 12220 Murphy Road, shortly after 5 a.m.

The crooks stole laptops on display.

The store's 10-camera surveillance system caught the thieves on video, so the owner hopes it will help police catch the crooks. The burglars wore grey and black hoodies with bandannas covering their faces, but accidentally also left a backpack behind, which could provide a clue.

The owner said the crooks caused $10,000 worth of damage in the 2 minutes they were in the store.

"You got two doors completely damaged that have to be replaced and the back door we have to re-secure," said Lea Bogle, the store owner. "I just hate the overall frustration of waking up at 3 in the morning and having someone violate you again. It's just destruction, worthless destruction."

The crooks escaped through a back door.

In the past, thieves have rammed their car through the front of the store. The owner said she no longer keeps cellphones in the showroom because of the past thefts.

The store owner said she is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can give police information that will lead to an arrest. Call the Stafford Police Department at 281-261-3950.
