2 Aldine HS staff members face charges in incident involving special-needs student

HOUSTON – Two Aldine High School staff members are facing criminal charges for an incident that allegedly happened during school hours, involving a special-needs student.

"I have not heard about it and that classroom is across the hallway from mine and I have not heard anything," said Michelle Dalke, an Aldine High School teacher.

Many students hadn't caught wind of it either.

"No, I'm surprised. I haven't heard any word about it," said student Ramiro Morales.

More questions remain about the case than answers.

"This type of conduct is unacceptable and our district remains committed to ensuring that all our students are provided a safe learning environment," said Aldine ISD in a statement released to Local 2.

The district wouldn't say what exactly happened during the class or what type of charges the two staff members are facing.

Police aren't releasing the age of the special-needs student involved in the incident or the names of the two staff members.
