Go inside Moody Gardens' holiday display: Rainforest Holiday

GALVESTON – It's a holiday tradition in the Houston area: Moody Gardens is giving a final reveal of its holiday display, called "Rainforest Holiday," before it opens up to the public.

There are dozens of breathtaking ice sculptures carved from 2 million pounds of ice.

Inside the holiday attraction, there is a 36-foot-tall giant ruins ice slide, and a Shiver's Ice Bar that is entirely carved out of ice.

 Visitors can also take in colorful sculptures of butterflies, monkeys, reptiles, sloths and towering trees and vines. 

Other holiday attractions include Festival of Lights, Cirque Joyeux Noel, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer 4D, 3D films, Arctic Slide, ice skating train rides and much more.

Rainforest Holiday will open to the public on Nov. 11 and last until  Jan. 7,  2018.
