Showers out of the forecast for Thanksgiving, but they won't be gone long

HOUSTON – Happy Thanksgiving!

There is plenty to be thankful for on Thursday, especially the forecast. Morning clouds will move out Thursday afternoon giving way to sunshine.

If you're heading out to the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade or running in the Turkey Trot, you'll want to grab a jacket. Temperatures are cool this morning but this afternoon will be pleasant in the mid-60s.

Showers are back in the forecast for Black Friday shoppers and will be on and off throughout the day.

Rain will move out by dinner time Friday, leaving behind beautiful weather for holiday celebrations Friday evening.
