Boxing with a Badge: A Boxer, Deputy Constable’s Journey Through Loss and Legacy

While most are asleep, Jonathan Morales is working out.  This father of seven fights not only for himself but for his family. “It’s my legacy, right? I want my kids to look back and say, ‘Man, my dad did X, Y, and Z, and he successfully did it,’” he tells KPRC 2’s Alex Moreno. Morales is chasing something deep. He trains like a man who lives two lives—because he does. “Growing up, I only wanted to be two things, right? A police officer and a professional boxer. You know, growing up as a kid, I was always in the gym. My dad used to box, and I just loved training and fighting, you know, and not getting in trouble for doing it,” he recalls.
