From table to tide: Meet the team saving the bay one shucked shell at a time

Yes, that is a big pile of oyster shells. In part two of our oyster shell recycling story, we follow the journey from table back to the tides. After being collected from local restaurants, the shells are cured in the sun for months before making their way back into Galveston Bay — creating new habitats for future oysters and helping to restore our natural waterways.
