Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo is a favorite holiday tradition -- and this year is more colorful than ever before -- with dazzling new light displays.

The Houston Zoo Lights, opening November 22, offers sensory-friendly options, including quiet paths and calming nooks, to accommodate children who may get overstimulated. December 2nd will feature a special sensory-friendly day with smaller crowds, softer music, and static lights.

Now through Jan. 7th, guests will take in the sights and sounds of the season as they stroll through the transformed winter wonderland at the Houston Zoo.

This year the Houston Zoo will celebrate its tenth year with one of Houston’s most beloved holiday traditions from Nov. 15 through Jan. 9.

Due to inclement weather, the Houston Zoo has canceled its final Zoo Lights event of the season, scheduled Sunday. A spokesperson from the zoo said guests who purchased tickets for Sunday’s event can swap their ticket for daytime admission tickets. Ticket holders are urged to check their email for details. “The safety of zoo staff, guests and animals is the Zoo’s top priority,” staff said in an announcement. Staff said the zoo will update guests on its plans to reopen as the weather event continues.

HOUSTON – H-Town is doing it big this weekend with several events for families to enjoy! Ice skating at Discovery GreenThe Ice Rink powered by Green Mountain Energy opened at 5 p.m. on Friday the 13th at Discovery Green Park. If you are coming with someone who is skating, you won’t be allowed in the ice rink area unless you’re with a child younger than 10 years old. This year’s zoo lights run from Nov. 14 to January 10, 2021. People already got a sneak peek at Zoo Lights earlier this week.

Zoo Lights is returning to the Houston Zoo from Nov. 15 to Jan. 9.

HOUSTON – The Houston Zoo is hosting the first-ever Brew Lights event on Thursday, November, 21 from 7 to 10 p.m. This ticketed event allows 21-and-up guests an opportunity to see Zoo Lights before it opens for the season, plus NO KIDS. Tickets are $45 and include admission into Zoo Lights and two 12-oz pours of Saint Arnold brews. Stroll through the now two-times brighter Zoo Lights while sipping Saint Arnold beers. Saint Arnold brews and holiday treats, such as s’mores, will be provided to enjoy as you check out some of the Zoo Lights displays.
