10 people injured in 2-vehicle crash in Fresno, authorities say
The Fort Bend County Sheriffโs Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Fresno. Officials said at least 10 people were injured. The crash was reported after 3 p.m. near Kansas and Pecan streets. Officials said four adults and four minors in an SUV were transported to the hospital. The two adults in the other vehicle involved were also taken to the hospital.
Sheriff: Man arrested on cross-country trip with girl, 12
Nathan Larson, 40, made the girl wear a long-haired wig to make her look older and told her to pretend to be mute during their travel, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims announced on Saturday. The investigation began Monday morning when the girl's family reported her missing from her bedroom in Fresno, California. They took a rideshare car to the Fresno Airport, where they board a plane bound for Washington, D.C., she added. Mims said that while the girl was not physically harmed detectives have evidence of inappropriate touching at the airport. Larson was being held in the Denver County jail facing a misdemeanor charge of harboring a minor.

California orders GOP to remove unofficial ballot boxes

Republicans have set up their drop boxes at churches, gas stations and gun shops in at least three California counties. He said these unofficial drop boxes lack those protections, making them vulnerable to tampering. Gusty winds pose continued wildfire threats in California
In Southern California, fires burned in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and San Diego counties, and the forecast called for the arrival of the regions notorious Santa Anas. The hot, dry winds could reach 50 mph at times, forecasters said. People in a half-dozen foothill communities east of Los Angeles were being told to stay alert because of a fire in the Angeles National Forest. Her name is Freje Randall and she shared with Houston Life how dancing at this years GRAMMYs is only the beginning of her young career. Randall started her dance training as a company member of the Fort Bend Academy of Dance and then as a Principal Dancer of Ballet Forte. Authorities searching for missing 12-year-old boy last seen in Fresno area
The Fort Bend County Sheriffs Office asked for the publics help locating a missing 12-year-old. Donte Anderson was last seen on Friday in the 4000 block of Dawn Rise Court in Fresno. Anderson is described as a 12-year-old male weighing 105 pounds and standing 53' tall. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans, blue tennis shoes and a pair of glasses. Fort Bend school bus carrying students involved in crash on Highway 6
FRESNO, Texas โ The Fort Bend Independent School District confirms that there has been a bus crash on Tuesday afternoon with kids on board. The bus was taking students home from Lake Olympia Middle School when it was rear-ended by another vehicle on Highway 6 near Teal Bend Blvd, according to FBISD. Two out of the 26 students on the bus were transported to a hospital after complaining of back and neck pain. The bus was not badly damaged. After the two students were transported, the bus continued its route and dropped off the remaining students.
Fresno student cut with pair of scissors during fight at school bus stop, police say
FRESNO, Texas โ A Lake Olympia Middle School student was cut with a pair of scissors during a fight Friday at a school bus stop, according to the Fresno Police Department. At least three students were involved in a fight as students exited the bus. The student who was cut with the pair scissors was treated at the scene and the cut was not considered serious. The school buses are equipped with surveillance cameras but the fight took place once the students were off the bus. Fort Bend ISD does not believe the cameras captured the fight or the student being cut.
Team name prompts dispute in Fort Bend youth football league
FRESNO, Texas โ More than 100 Fort Bend County kids have been kicked out of a youth football league because of a dispute over their team name. The Fort Bend Youth Football League expelled the Fresno Gators from the organization in August. "No two teams can have the same name," said Jacqueline Jean-Baptiste, the executive director of the Fort Bend Youth Football League. "As the second year came around, the league gave me my logo back," said Anthony Joubert, the president of the Fresno Gators. The Fresno Gators said they now plan to sue the Fort Bend Youth Football League.
