Jury deliberations in AJ Armstrong Jr.’s murder trial continue on Day 2
Closing arguments were expected to wrap up Tuesday in the third capital murder trial against Antonio “AJ” Armstrong, who is accused of killing his parents at the family’s southwest Houston home in 2016. AJ, now 23 years old and married, was only 16 years old at the time of the murders.
After hearing from more than 200 potential jurors, 48 set to return for final selection in AJ Armstrong trial
The court heard from more than 200 potential jurors from three separate panels this month. Attorneys made it down to 48 potential jurors. This group will return on May 31 for the final part of the voir dire process, where 12 jurors plus alternates are selected.

Antonio “AJ” Armstrong Jr., the teen accused of killing his parents in 2016, was supposed to be in court Monday for his second murder trial after the first one ended in a mistrial in April 2019. However, more than 30 motions were filed in his case and a judge decided Friday to postpone the trial.
