Carjacking turns deadly in west Houston apartment complex

Hunt for gunman underway

A man was shot to death Monday at a west Houston apartment complex over his Nissan Altima, police said.

According to investigators, Kewian Kaewprasit, who is in his 20s, was in the parking lot of the Nottingham Village Apartments in the 14250 block of Kimberly Lane just before 10 p.m. when someone walked up, shot him and drove off in his black 2015 Altima.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he died.

Witnesses reported hearing three gunshots and then seeing a black vehicle speed away, investigators said.

A witness who called 911, said he saw a car run Kaewprasit over and said it could have been the victim's own car.

“He was bleeding everywhere and had bruises,“ the witness said.

No arrests have been made, investigators said.

Anyone with information about the car, license plate number GSK-5233, or the carjacking is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
