Teen accused of trying to attack officer at San Jacinto Mall in Baytown

BAYTOWN, Texas – A pair of teenage brothers are behind bars after causing chaos at a Baytown movie theater and trying to grab an officer's gun.

On Jan. 17 a Baytown Police officer kicked 17-year-old Felix Villalobos and 19-year-old Danis Villalobos out of the Premiere Cinema 11 at the San Jacinto Mall for disorderly conduct.

But the brothers weren't leaving quietly, pushing against the doors a mall security guard was trying to lock.

A Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constable working security in the food court heard the commotion and went to help.

According to court documents, the brothers made their way back in and disobeyed orders to leave. They surrounded the officer who had to pull his baton and strike one of them to get them to back off.

When the deputy constable called for back up on his police radio, another officer replied, "Be the police and take care of the situation."

Investigators say Felix heard this exchange and believing no additional officers would come, attacked the deputy constable and tried to take his gun.

When the Villalobos brothers heard sirens, they ran, but the officer was able to identify both of them. He recognized them as students at Goose Creek Memorial High School where he once worked security.

Felix is charged with disarming a police officer. Danis is charged with interference with public duties.

Captain Jon Moore with the Precinct 3 Constable's Office called the remarks made over the radio by the other officer "inappropriate" and says that officer was disciplined.
