HOUSTON – An annual report issued by the Greater Houston Partnership claims the city could gain more than 60,000 jobs in the new year.
The partnership released its annual employment forecast Thursday at the 2014 Houston Region Economic Outlook.

They expect Houston to gain 62,900 jobs, with growth in construction, retail, professional services, health care, food services and public education.
The partnership also touched on the current uncertainty in the oil patch. With oil prices dropping, the partnership expects job losses in exploration and production, oil field services and oil field equipment manufacturing.
