HOUSTON – Houston police are releasing new details about a robbery in Southwest Houston that could lead to arrests.
The robbery happened on April 23 at an EZ Pawn shop located at 5502 Bellaire.
Police said the two robbers entered the business at about 11:45 a.m. One of the robbers walked inside the store while the other stood at the door as a lookout. The man who entered the store pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money from the register. He then went tot he jewelry display cases and ordered the employee to open them. Investigators said the robber stole an undetermined amount of jewelry.
Police said the duo got away in a white Chrysler sedan.
Police said the suspects are described as two Hispanic males. One is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has short hair. He was wearing a black Oakland Raiders cap, a long-sleeve white shirt and was armed with a black and silver semi-automatic pistol. The other suspect is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with a black shirt, white gloves and a black bandana.
HPD will release surveillance video Thursday that could help lead to arrests in the case.
