HOUSTON – A Houston football legend has announced that he is getting treatment for nerve injuries.
Houston Oilers running back Earl Campbell has had several health issued related to the physical beating he took during the late 70s and early 80s.

In Austin on Tuesday, Campbell announced that he will be undergoing "nerve treatment."
Christian Campbell, Earl Campbell's son, said his father was recently tested for ALS, but those results came back negative. Earl Campbell has not said if he is suffering from another condition.
It has been known that Earl Campbell suffered nerve damage in his knees. It's been an ongoing struggle and he has spent some time in a wheelchair.
Campbell won the Heisman Trophy in 1977 and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1991.
