Krispy Kreme elaborates on sweet return to Houston

HOUSTON – Krispy Kreme is gearing up for its sweet return to Houston.

The doughnut shop has revealed three more stores coming to the area. Soon, hungry drivers will see the "Hot Now" sign light up on South Main Street near the South Loop and on Westheimer Road near The Galleria. Another restaurant will open in Pasadena.

Krispy Kreme previously announced that its first new doughnutshop will open in February along Highway 6 near FM 529. The franchisee plans to open six or seven locations in the Houston area in 2015, and another five the following year.

For people in the Houston-area in need of a trip to the dentist, Dr. Emily Graham's office on Kuykendahl Road in Spring is holding a free dental work event on Friday. Children and adults are expected to start lining up at early as 3 a.m. The volunteers expect to service about 250 people altogether.

Comcast customers in California are suing the cable giant for using home routers as Wi-Fi hotspots for the public. The company first announced the plan in June. It would allow neighbors, friends and even strangers to jump on an Internet connection for free.

The cable provider claims it works as a separate signal and that no one can steal personal information. But the lawsuit claims a recent study shows the new routers use up to 30 percent more electricity, which is a bill the customer would have to foot. According to the lawsuit, the router will even cost users who opt out an extra $20-30 per month on their cable bill. Comcast has denied the allegations.
