A Mexico-bound flight that took off from Houston was forced to return for a rather unusual reason - volcanic ash.

A volcano on an uninhabited island in the Galapagos has begun erupting and lighting up the nighttime sky as lava tumbles down its sides toward the sea.

Hawaii officials are warning residents of the Big Island that the world’s largest active volcano, Mauna Loa, is sending signals that it may erupt.
