As we head into late Sunday, temperatures will start to drop and wintry precipitation will be getting close to Southeast Texas! Erika Rios Valdez, 32, was kidnapped from her home around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday while parking and unhooking a food service trailer on County Road 3404 in the Plum Grove area in north Liberty County. An acquaintance, identified by authorities as Abel Farjado, 38, drove up and forced Valdez into his pickup truck at gunpoint.

UPDATE: โDo not useโ water advisory lifted in Lake Jackson, but โBoil waterโ notice put in place
HOUSTON โ The city of Lake Jackson is moving to enforce a โBoil waterโ notice, according to a press release from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. The boil notice lifts the โDo not useโ water advisory, which was in response to an ongoing water issue after a brain eating amoeba was found in the cityโs water system. State and local officials said they are working on a plan to flush and disinfect the water system. Do not jump into or put your head under bathing water. The advisory was lifted for all areas excluding Lake Jackson on Saturday morning.

HOUSTON โ Rain is the only thing left of Beta and it is moving through the Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. This batch of rain will continue to push into the mid-Atlantic states Friday before moving off shore this weekend. Here is a look at what Beta left behind in Southeast Texas:Heavy Rain with Storm Totals over 12โฒ'! Beta has dropped over a foot of rain in some locations in southern Metro Houston. The heaviest rain fell from Ellington Field and Pearland to west Houston.
Several Greater Houston-area counties among most charitable places in Texas
Several counties in Greater Houston recently landed on a ranking of the Lone Star Stateโs top 10 most generous counties for the year of 2019. Fort Bend County came in at second on the list while Montgomery landed at seventh place and Brazoria clocked in at eighth place. The ranking, released by SmartAsset, was determined by weighing several factors including how much people donated as a percentage of their net income and the proportion of people in a given county who made charitable donations. A second round of storms will hit the region Sunday morning and early afternoon.. Like Saturdayโs storms, Sundayโs storms could produce hail and damaging wind.
