HOUSTON – The Astros drafted LSU shortstop Alex Bregman with the No. 2 pick in the MLB Draft on Monday. The No. 2 pick was compensatory for not signing the No. 1 pick in 2014, pitcher Brady Aiken.
With the No. 5 selection, Houston picked outfielder Kyle Tucker from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida. Tucker is the younger brother of current Astros outfielder Preston Tucker.
