Less than two weeks after suiting up for the Aggies for the last time, quarterback Conner Weigman announced that he is moving a little closer to home.
Weigman, who spent three seasons at Texas A&M, announced that he is transferring to Houston Wednesday night. The announcement came after the 21-year-old entered his name into the transfer portal last week.

Coming out of high school in 2022, Weigman was a consensus 5-star recruit out of Bridgeland High School in Cypress. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he was the No. 22 overall player in the country, the No. 2 quarterback in the country, and the No. 5 overall player in the state.
Weigman showed promise in his freshman season with the Aggies, leading a struggling A&M team to an upset over No. 5 LSU to finish the season. A foot injury ended his sophomore season in September, and a shoulder injury gave way for the emergence of backup quarterback Marcel Reed during the 2024 campaign.
Now closer to his hometown of Cypress, Weigman will have an opportunity for a fresh start with the Cougars and second-year head coach Willie Fritz.
