HOUSTON – A man was found dead at a playground at a southeast Houston apartment complex.
Houston police said the killing happened at the Almeda Park apartments on Tanner Park near Kingspoint about 8 p.m. Thursday.

"Officers responded to a male down near the laundry mat in the playground," Officer Mark Condon said. "When they got here, they found the victim deceased from multiple gunshot wounds."
The victim's name has not been released.
Officers spend the night collecting evidence and talking to possible witnesses.
Police said they do not know why the man was targeted.
