Chipotle Mexican Grill is hoping a new menu item can help win customers back.
The company revealed Wednesday that it would add chorizo, a seasoned chicken and pork sausage, to the menu. The fast-casual chain has only ever added a menu item once before in its 23-year history.

The new addition is already available at select restaurants in Ohio, New York, California, Colorado and Washington, D.C. It will roll out nationwide this fall.
