HOUSTON – Chef Doug with H-E-B in the studio Thursday teaching viewers how to make bacon jam hamburgers, truffle French fries and peach Bellinis.
Bacon Jam Hamburgers
Preparation Time: 8 minutes
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Serves 4
4 HEB Prime Hamburger patties
¼ jar Better Than Good Bacon Jam
1 teaspoon Adams Just Right Burger Spice Rub, per patty
Cheese is optional and so is Soppin Sauce
- Spice your Burgers
- Place the burgers on the grill, in a pan or bake them at 350 for 20 minutes
- Warm the bacon jam
- When the burger is done spread a tablespoon or so of the bacon jam over the patty
*Option is to add a slice of cheese before the bacon jam goes on
Truffle French Fries
Cook Time:30 minutes or less
Serves: 4-6
1 Bag of crinkle cut or regular cut fries reg or sweet tater
- Follow the direction on the package of fries
- Do them on a lined cookie sheet and sprinkle with olive oil
- When finished toss with either the Sabatino Truffle Salt or Truffle Zest
- Remember to start small and build when using truffle as a spice
- Serve your fries and watch your friends and families faces light up
Peach Bellini
Prep/cook Time : 5 mins.
Yield: 6-10 servings
Ingredients
1 Btl of chilled Prima Mezzo Moscato d’Asti Blue or Gold
1 can of Kerns or Jumex Peach nectar
1 bag of frozen Peaches
Procedure
- Place all ingredients in a picher
- Wait 20 seconds, stir and serve
- A delish drink
- Save the fruit when all is gone and make scones, pancakes or carmelize a little in a pan with butter and serve over ice cream and pound cake
- Another delish dish
Salmon Burgers w/Bacon Jam
cook time : 15 minutes
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
2-4 Salmon patties your choice
½ - 1 cup of HEB Basting Oil
1 Tbl of Better Than Good Bacon Jam per burger
Procedure
- Pan sauté the salmon burgers on medium heat w/olive or grapeseed oil about 3-4 minutes on each side. Make sure interior temp reaches 150 degrees
- Once you flip the burger add a Tbl. Of the bacon jam on top of each burger
- When finished add more of the bacon jam ketchup if you like.
- Yummo!
*Option: Add a Tbls. Of ketchup to the bacon jam for a slammin jam.
