HOUSTON – Pesto Carprese Grilled Cheese
2 slices HEB bread(your choice)
1 jar Artigiana Genovese Organic Pesto (green or red)
2 Tbsp butter
2 fresh roma tomatoes sliced
3 slices mozzarella
1. Spread butter on one side of the bread slices. And then spread pesto on the other side
2. Heat pan, or griddle on medium. Place one slice, buttered side down on the pan. Then layer sliced tomatoes, and sliced mozzarella on top.
3. Add the other bread slice, butter side up. Cook about 2-4 minutes/
4. Flip in the pan, and cook additional 2-4 minutes(until bread is golden brown.
5. Ready to enjoy
4J Cuban Sandwich
Cook Time: 6-8 minutes
4 to 6 servings
INGREDIENTS
1 loaf Cuban bread(or Italian bread)
¼ cup 4J Grilled Scallion Mustard
1 pound Swiss, thick-sliced
1 pound ham, thinly sliced
1 pound corned beef, thinly sliced
2 cups Byers Best Sriracha pickle chips
4 Tbsp butter, melted
STEPS
Slice the bread lengthwise and smear both sides with mustard. Layer on the Swiss, ham, corned beef, and pickles; slice into 4-5 smaller sandwiches, 5-6 inches in length. Toast each sandwich in a Panini press, and place something heavy(if using a sauté pan, place a flat-bottomed, small baking dishon top, with something heavy in the dish). Cook 2-3 minutes a side, until both sides are golden brown and cheese is melted. Enjoy!
