HOUSTON – The Houston Independent School District said an error has resulted in some employees receiving an incorrect payroll deposit this week.
According to the HISD Controller's Office, a direct deposit file from 2014 was sent to the bank instead of the correct 2016 file. The Controller's Office said the problem was identified and quickly corrected on Monday. However, some bank deposits already had been processed.

The Controller's Office said all correct deposits would be processed by today, which is the district's regular pay day.
