More than 5K customers without power as storms move through Houston

HOUSTON – The CenterPoint Energy outage map says more than 5,000 customers are without power across the area amid thunderstorms Monday afternoon.

As of 3:30 p.m., the map shows a total of 5,554 customers without power across the area.

• Storms are popping up across the Houston area to start the workweek

The majority of the outages are concentrated around Houston’s west and south sides.

Thunderstorms will remain possible across the area through the afternoon hours.
