Two carjacking suspects have died and three other suspects were injured after a pursuit that ended in a crash in north Harris County Wednesday, deputies with Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
Suspect killed in crash after pursuit in northeast Houston, police say
HOUSTON – A burglary suspect is dead after a crash during a police pursuit in northeast Houston Monday, police said. Police said a security guard reported a burglary at a trucking company. According to investigators, Houston police attempted to stop the two suspects but they drove away, eventually crashing into a van in the 10040 block of Wallisville Road. Police said one suspect who was also the passenger was taken to the hospital, where he later died. According to officers, he’ll now face a murder charge.

2 women riding in Uber killed after chase suspect crashes into vehicle in northeast Houston, police say
HOUSTON – Two women riding in the back of an Uber are dead after police said a pursuit suspect crashed into the car they were in, going over 100 mph. Police said the driver they believe is responsible is now facing felony murder charges. According to police, they were chasing a vehicle after a driver, who has been identified as 45-year-old Brian Okeith Tatum, reportedly ran a red light. Police said the pursuit came to an end when Tatum crashed into an Uber driver in a silver Honda and killed the two women sitting in the back seats. The Uber driver was transported to Ben Taub Hospital in unknown condition and the suspect was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.
