Police chase in Galveston ends with truck crashed through a home

A police chase in Galveston came to a dramatic end early Sunday morning when a white pickup truck crashed into a home near the intersection of Winnie Street and 8th Street.

The pursuit, initiated by the Galveston Police Department after traffic violations, led authorities down Broadway Avenue J and Seawall Boulevard before ending in the crash.

A male driver was arrested and taken to a hospital for evaluation. An investigation into potential charges of driving while intoxicated was launched. One passenger of the vehicle, a woman, escaped without injury and was released at the scene.
