Authorities are responding to a report of a body found in Buffalo Bayou.

The couple found dead inside a Katy-area home Monday morning have been identified, and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has confirmed the cause of their deaths.

Two men died in custody at Harris County facilities Wednesday, prompting investigations by the Texas Rangers and the Sheriff’s Office.

HOUSTON – The body of a fallen HPD Sgt. Sean Rios was escorted to a funeral home Thursday morning. A procession started and 10:30 a.m. Thursday and escort Rios' body from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences to the Peevey Funeral Home at 12440 Beamer Rd. One of the men charged with murder in connection to Rios' death appeared in court Wednesday. Details for Rios' funeral have not yet been announced, but HPD expects those details to become available soon.

HOUSTON – The body of Houston police Sgt. Christopher Brewster was escorted Monday from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences building to a northwest Houston funeral home Monday morning. Members of Brewster’s Eastside Patrol Division stood at attention and saluted his casket as it was taken into the funeral home. A 9-year veteran of the Houston Police Department, Brewster was promoted to sergeant 9 months ago. Police said Brewster, 32, was shot several times by 25-year-old Arturo Solis on a street in east Houston.
